40 Middle School students had the opportunity to visit the Henry Ford Museum last week. Students were able to visit the hands-on Pixar Exhibit and hands-on Mathematica Exhibit. During the Pixar Exhibit, students saw the process and explored the science and technology behind some of the most beloved animated films and their characters. The interactive exhibit showcased the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts used by the artists and computer scientists who helped bring Pixar’s films to the big screen. The Matematica Exhibit offered as sense math all around you. Bubbles that seem impossible, ball bearings that mimic orbiting planets and a machine that renders probability theory as visible awaken the relationship between math and the everyday world.
