This school year Wick fourth grade students will get to collect and submit real science data to CoCoRaHS (a unique, non-profit, community-based network of volunteers of all ages and backgrounds working together to measure and map precipitation.) Each day students collect and record rain, hail or snow data for our area on the website www.cocorahs.org. The data is then displayed and organized for all nationwide users (including scientists in the field) to analyze and apply to daily situations ranging from water resource analysis and severe storm warnings to neighbors comparing how much rain fell in their backyards. Wick students are learning so much about our weather!
