Wick Elementary’s annual Black History Month program was held on Friday, February 24, 2017. This year in addition to the assembly, classes also welcomed parents into their rooms with presentations that connected various aspects of Black History to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) components. Following the assembly and class presentations, parents and students enjoyed a Soul Food Luncheon in the gymnasium.
Pictured with Mrs. ShaVonna Johnson (Principal), Mrs. Kathleen Norred (Food Services Director), Ms. Maria Scott (Wick Parent Coordinator), and Mrs. Tonya Cofield (Romulus Recreation Coordinator) are a few of the Wick students and parents that were in attendance.
