Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement (JA) made it to Romulus Elementary School on Friday, June 3, 2016.  JA is a program that teaches Economics to students that is delivered by volunteers.  Our volunteers were individuals from our community.  Hosted by our Parent Coordinator Mrs. Rushing.  The volunteers taught engaging lessons to classes from K - 5 grade.  The students were so involved they asked about next year's visit and volunteers' to return. The volunteers enjoyed the program just as much as the students.

Showbiz

On June 6, 2016, Romulus Elementary students starred in a music program titled SHOWBIZ, directed by Mr. Jason Cooper. It featured selections from hit Broadway shows, like Annie and Aladdin, and popular Motown songs. Students spent several months preparing for the event and both morning and afternoon performances packed the gym. The smiles on the faces of the students were an indication that they enjoyed their time in the spotlight, with cheering crowds and flashing cameras.

Principal Letter

Hello Families and Community Members,

I am truly excited to be your Principal. As a staff we are extremely focused this year on providing a safe, caring and supportive learning environment through establishing clear behavior expectations, teaching the expectations and acknowledging students in their positive behavior. Our work is based on our data with clear action plans. We will continue to deepen our understanding of the Common Core State Standards in English language arts and math as well as our Social Emotional Learning Standards. We strive to educate the whole child.

Fourth Grade Field Trip

Great Lakes Education Program

Learning came to life today for Romulus Elementary School’s Fourth Graders.  They had the opportunity to participate in the Great Lakes Education Program (GLEP) which provides students with the unique experience of cruising the Detroit River on a Schoolship!  The learning was non-stop while on board the vessel and during the shore side portion of the program at Lake Erie Metro park.
