Fourth Graders Participate in THINK! ENERGY Program

Think Energy

Wick fourth grade students recently took part in the THINK! ENERGY program sponsored by DTE Energy, the Michigan Department of Education, and National Energy Foundation. The program is intended to assist teachers and students to Think! about energy, Talk! about energy, and Take Action! now about our energy for the future. The fourth graders were taught how to obtain energy savings through the use of energy efficient devices.

Muffins for Moms

The Wick School community held a breakfast on Friday, September 25 to recognize our students’ mothers. Students along with their mothers enjoyed muffins, fruits and beverages before the school day began. Along with being able to socialize with one another and school staff members before the school day, mothers at the event were encouraged to sign up and volunteer for events during the school year.

Pizza Reward

Pizza Bus Reward

Wick Elementary was recently rewarded with free pizzas donated by Hungry Howies in recognition of excellent student behavior on the busses for the month of February. Hungry Howies has been a partner with Wick Elementary for the past several years – as their company has donated pizzas monthly to recognize positive student behavior. The top 3 spellers in each grade also move on to the district spelling bee which will be held at Romulus High School on March 26, 2015.
